The Sofa Wall Bed is packed in 3-4 main boxes and strapped together on a long pallet. Shipping is via a common carrier truck, curbside. The driver will back the truck up as far as they safely can and unload the pallet to the ground. Two-person lift and carry is recommended for the larger boxes.

What dimensions ( side to side ) and ( front to back) are needed for the bed?
Full Size: 71” wide (side to side), and with the bed down, it’s 80-5/8” front to back; when in the sofa position, it’s 58-3/8” front to back.
Queen Size: 77” wide (side to side), and with the bed down, it’s 86” front to back; when in the sofa position, it’s 64 3/8” front to back.
Can the sofa be removed from the bed cabinet and still be used as a murphy bed?
No, the sofa is attached directly to the bed cabinet, making it one complete unit. The mechanism is part of the sofa and is required for the proper function and stability of the overall unit.
Can you provide cleaning instructions for the fabric?
Yes. Per the manufacturer: use a water-based cleaner only – Spot clean, using the foam only from a water-based cleaning agent, such as a mild detergent or non-solvent upholstery shampoo product. Apply foam with a soft brush in a circular motion. Always rinse promptly with clean water. Vacuum when dry. Pretest a small area before proceeding.
What is the weight capacity of the bed?
Center of Bed: 1400 lbs. weight limit

How much force is needed to open the bed?
Designed to hover halfway, the Sofa-WallBed purposely does not allow the bed to come down too fast or too slow. When pulling the bed down, an initial force (15-20 lbs.) is needed to start moving the bed out of the cabinet. Once the bed is in motion, the springs in the mechanism resist gravity, allowing you to move the bed downward quickly but not too fast. When lifting the bed, there is an initial force to lift it upward. Once you raise the platform bed a few inches and it is in motion, the springs in the mechanism begin assisting you in placing the bed into the cabinet. Is the mattress included?
No, the mattress is not included.
What kind of mattress should I use?
We recommend using a coil or coil/foam hybrid mattress and do not recommend using an all-foam mattress. The maximum mattress thickness is 11”.
What is the warranty?
The mechanism is warrantied for15 years; case goods and fabric: 5 years.

What does the assembly process look like?

How is the bed shipped?
The Sofa Wall Bed is packed in 3 main boxes and strapped together on a long pallet. Shipping is via a common carrier truck, curbside. The driver will back the truck up as far as they safely can, and unload the pallet to the ground. Once the driver has unloaded the pallet off the truck and onto the ground, their responsibility is done. It is up to you to bring the bed components into your home.
What can I expect in the delivery process?
Your bed will leave our warehouse and make its way to the local freight hub for your area. Once your freight arrives at the local hub, you will be contacted by the local freight scheduler to set up a time and date for delivery. We suggest picking a time when you will have at least two people available. Please view this PDF for an overview of what will arrive on your pallet.
What do I do if my bed arrives damaged?
When your bed arrives, you must check the shipment for any obvious damage before you sign for it. If you see any damage to the packaging, please take a picture and note the damage on the paperwork you sign for the driver. If you find any concealed damage as you are unpacking your bed, please take pictures immediately and send them to InovaBed for review (email us at support@inovabed.com)
